We want to express our deepest gratitude to everyone who attended the 2023 Go Blue for Kids Gala presented by FlexPAC – it was a huge success and an incredibly fun evening! Together, we raised over $98,000 to support our mission to advocate, educate and protect on behalf of some of the most vulnerable children in Indiana. Speaker
Sade Burrell is a Master of Social Work graduate from the University of Southern California, and an undergraduate of San Diego State University. Sade has been recognized throughout the state of California for her efforts to eliminate child abuse through her advocacy work. Her advocacy work has led to the passing of Senate Bill 1252, a bill that provides former foster youth with stable housing until age 25 while enrolled in post-secondary education. As an author of two published books, What Are You Reaching For? and The Opportunity Guide, Sade has traveled the country impacting many lives. Now, as a doctoral student, Sade’s research focuses on exploring the impact leadership has on campus-based programs serving students who experienced foster care.
Emcee
Marc Mullins joined WRTV in 2012 and co-anchors WRTV News at 5 & 6pm. He is an Emmy-award winning anchor with many accolades. Marc helped to launch WRTV’s Hiring Hoosiers reporting project, aimed at connecting people who live in Indiana with job opportunities, career advancement programs and examining the barriers keeping Hoosiers from working. Marc hails from New England, but now he’s a Hoosier, loving downtown-Indianapolis living.
The Band
Be On It was formed in 2012. Birthed out of Indianapolis, Be On It was created to push the boundaries and limitations of music. Be On It covers a lot of musical ground and about every different genre you can think of. The energy they perform with will leave you mesmerized, inspired and motivated to think about music in a new way!
